My family & I patronise this restaurant for years & it is situated inside Mandarin Gardens Condo @ Siglap Rd. We usually go there on weekdays because weekends are super crowded. There was once we went there on weekend without reservation & we were advised to wait 1 hour minimum for a table. We decided not to wait because all of us were too famished. Our family's favourite dishes are :- (1) Jing Du pork chop, (2) Jade tofu with (i) chicken floss & (ii) golden mushroom OR (iii) crab meat, (3) cereal prawns, (4) Yam Basket, (5) butter squid, (6) broccoli with crab meat & (7) black pepper beef. So yummy & prices are so reasonable for an air-con restaurant. Die die must try & really worth your calories.

Food here is affordable, good quality, and I used to come here often before discovering the Changi Village Branch. The location is pretty not that user-friendly - but due to that, prices are cheap and better compared to restaurants elsewhere. What I Love: The food is great here - gotta try the Butter Squid, and the crab dishes. My fave is the Yam Basket, Sliced Sweet & Sour Fish, Chengdu Pork, Coffee Pork, and the Thai Pan Toufu. They also give you complimentary dessert (on some occasions) - I'm assuming when they have a lot left. What I Don't Love: The location. But if you drive or cab, you're good to go! ;D

This is usually where my girlfriend and I come to when we want to have a quiet date night that doesn't require us to travel far. I think every great meal begins as soon as you walk in the door when the very first waiter or waitress greets you. Its that little gesture that puts a smile on your face and kicks the meal off in your head. Well the experience at Thai Pan, begins with exactly that. As you walk in, any staff who's free as you walk pass them, will greet you including the owner. He's a very polite chap in glasses who reminds me of an oriental version of Kevin Smith with short hair. I like having the Prawn Omelette and the ThaiPan Olive Fried Rice for a nice dinner under $20. I love the omelette because its fried perfectly and the restaurant is not selfish with the prawns at all. You get nice meaty prawns in between helpings of thick milky bits of fried egg. The olive fried rice is very lightly olive flavored grains of rice served with salad and sauce. Some might find this a very plain meal so if thats the case, try ordering the cereal prawns or butter squid on the side. The food can take up to 15 minutes to come depending on how busy they are and sometimes, but very rarely, it can be a bit difficult to communicate with the foreign waitress due to their poor understanding of local languages. The chef's recommendations here are good too! They state clearly on the menu which dishes are spicy so you shouldn't have a problem if you worry about spicy food. Do bear in mind though, that while some dishes are noted as very spicy, I don't find them spicy at all. My girlfriend on the other hand, does think they are spicier than usual. The opening hours are: 11.30 -- 3.30 for lunch 17.30 -- 22.00 for dinner It is located inside the Mandarin Gardens condominium so be sure to inform the guards that you are going to Thai Pan at the door so they can guide you to the visitor carpark if you're driving. You should enter the condo from the main entrance located along Marine Parade road so you don't have to walk too far after you've parked. The restaurant is located inside by the pool. My overall experience here is great and I'll keep coming back for sure...
